P3 Places to stay: Cheshire Families

Supporting families to stabilise their lives and live independently in the community.

We provide a comfortable home environment for families experiencing homelessness, in self-contained, bungalow-style accommodation.

Grangeway Court has onsite laundry facilities and a lovely green within a gated community setting in Runcorn. Our friendly and welcoming support team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to provide support whenever you need it.

We also have a 2 bedroom community property in Runcorn, with low-level support for families who may struggle to access a home via the usual routes, for example due to past tenancy or financial history difficulties. The usual stay for this property is between 6-12 months to help families develop a positive tenancy reference and improve their financial situation to enable them to move on to a permanent home.

Every family is different, so we tailor our service to the needs of each family that stays with us. Even after moving on, we offer short-term, transitional support for up to four weeks to enable you to maintain and develop the skills and confidence to live independently, including:

  • Settling into your permanent home
  • Setting up your accounts for rent, utilities and setting up your personal budget
  • Preventing future homelessness
  • Accessing longer term support
  • Accessing the correct financial and support, including benefits

We can help if you are:

  • A family residing in Halton
  • Are homeless or becoming homeless
