P3 partnership nominated for Third Sector Award

30 August 2018

P3’s ACTion Lincs project has been shortlisted for the ‘Charity Partnership’ award by Third Sector, for its work with the Lincolnshire branch of Addaction.

The project offers life-changing support to some of the most vulnerable people in Lincolnshire - people who have been rough sleeping recurrently or for long periods of time. The Assertive Community Treatment model (ACT) addresses all of a person’s needs holistically, bridging the gap between different services and tackle the root causes of homelessness, such as mental ill health, substance misuse and offending behaviour.

This means local partnerships are crucial. P3 staff work collaboratively with Addaction, a specialist mental health, drug and alcohol charity, as well the NHS and eight local authorities across the county.

Lincolnshire Operations Manager Jonny Goldsmith said:

ACTion Lincs was born out of a need to do things differently in recognition that current service design wasn’t set up to meet the needs of people with multiple and complex needs.

“As such – whilst ACTion Lincs is lead by P3 – it is very much a project that will only bring about lasting change with an ongoing commitment from all partners involved. It is that very reason why we are so proud to have been nominated along with Addaction as ‘Charity Partnership of the Year’.

“From the initial idea; to development stage; to where we are now it’s incredibly refreshing to work with an organisation that is receptive to change, willing to listen and flexible enough to make things happen!”

ACTion Lincs is funded by the Government’s homelessness Social Impact Bond programme.
