P3 Charity and Warwickshire County Council Launch Supported-Accommodation to Prevent Homelessness

1 April 2025

P3 Charity (People Potential Possibilities) has launched a vital new service in partnership with Warwickshire County Council. This initiative will provide tailored accommodation and support across Warwickshire, aiming to prevent homelessness and help vulnerable adults over 25 maintain secure, long-term housing.

Last year 28,238 people across the West Midlands faced housing insecurity. This new initiative in Warwickshire can support up to 459 individuals at one time, providing a bespoke package of tailored support.

To make a referral, visit the portal at www.p3charity.org, email warks@p3charity.org or call our freephone number 0808 164 6220 where we will ask for some information to determine the correct service. Once we have received the referral, we will contact the person and arrange an initial assessment to discuss support needs and where we may be able to help.

Eligible individuals will be connected with a dedicated P3 support worker for up to 18 months for accommodation and 9 months for community-based support, receiving targeted support such as securing permanent housing, managing finances, accessing mental health services and developing independent living skills.

P3’s team has specialist training in:

  • Information and advice: tailored advice and guidance offered through a choice of video calls, phone calls or face-to-face appointments; drop-in sessions will also be delivered from P3 hubs in Nuneaton and Rugby and across local community venues.
  • Community based support: providing support for people in their own homes who are facing difficulties with their accommodation or with managing their tenancy.
  • Supported accommodation: countywide supported accommodation providing a mix of onsite support and semi-independent shared accommodation with visiting support.

Partnered with Warwickshire County Council, P3 Charity provide a holistic approach to support individual needs through trauma informed services and a person-centred focus. P3 has been supporting people in Warwickshire since 2016 and celebrate the launch of these new services to expand their county-wide support.

Jen Baker, P3 Charity’s Head of Support and Community Services for Coventry and Warwickshire, said: ‘‘We are pleased that P3 Charity can continue to provide services across Warwickshire and is able to build upon the life-changing support already on offer. We will continue to work closely with our partner agencies and local communities to provide accommodation-related support, and using our extensive experience, skills and knowledge, we will deliver a high quality, person-focused service.”

Zoe Mayhew, Director of Social Care & Health Commissioning at Warwickshire County Council, added: “Accommodation Related Support can assist residents in Warwickshire with accommodation-related issues so that they can continue to live healthy, happy and independent lives. Through the all-age service, we want to promote independence and encourage people to build on their existing skills and capabilities. Accommodation Related Support offers short term support to enable people to move forward positively through gaining or maintaining a tenancy and living independently in the community.”

A person previously supported by P3 Warwickshire, said: ‘I felt listened to and heard by my support worker. I felt all my needs were met and helped with all and any issues that arose. Rachel was helpful and accommodating when I was struggling with my mental health and needed to move appointments last minute. I would absolutely recommend P3 to anyone that needs their support.’
