P3's Finance Team announced as finalists at the 2024 East Midlands Finance Awards
P3's Finance Team announced as finalists in two categories at the 2024 East Midlands Finance Awards.
Founded in 2019, the East Midlands Finance Awards (EMFA) is the only event that celebrates finance and accountancy professionals across the region.
Staged at the Nottingham Contemporary, the awards recognise finance professionals in the East Midlands who have delivered a stand-out service both for their own organisation and the people they support.
P3’s Accounting Service team were nominated and shortlisted for small team of the year (under 10 people) and Senior Finance Officer, Helen Chambers, was also nominated and shortlisted for the Unsung Hero award.
Accounting Services Manager Jacqueline Harris said: “This was a fantastic opportunity to recognise an inspirational team for their achievements. There was some very strong competition so to come runner up for the small team of the year (under 10) was a clear acknowledgement of all their hard work over the past year. I feel very lucky to work with an amazing Finance Team who are always willing to support each other and look for innovative ways of working.”
Finance Officer Helen Chambers, added: “My role in P3 is in Finance, however I feel the mental health and positive wellbeing of the team is very important. This is the reason behind the lunchtime walks / activities and sit-down meals. Getting everyone together and just talking is so lovely to see, and hopefully helps us all get through our busy days. To be nominated for the Unsung Hero award, and to then be shortlisted was such a surprise and means the world to me. I feel incredibly proud to be part of the awards.”
