P3 Gains New Contract for Mental Health Services
P3 has been awarded the contract for two new mental health services – a Crisis House and a Safe Haven – in Derbyshire.
The Crisis House, will be a partnership service between P3 and Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust's Crisis teams. Here, adults with mental ill-health who might otherwise require in-patient hospital care will be offered short-term residential accommodation in an environment designed to provide support and stability, and promote wellbeing.
The Safe Haven in Chesterfield is open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Here again, adults with mental ill-health who might otherwise require in-patient hospital care can access the 'open' drop-in facility. This service is open to the community and people can self-refer or be referred by their GP or another healthcare agency.
Ann-Marie Humphries, Operations Manager for Derbyshire Mental Health Services, said: "We at P3 are excited and proud to have been granted this contract to enable us to support people in mental health crisis by ensuring they receive swift, compassionate care in a safe and appropriate setting."
Watch this space for updates as the new services are set to open this summer.
