Awards success for P3 Warwickshire
P3 Warwickshire’s Street Outreach Team won ‘Charity of the Year’ last week at the Leamington Business Awards!
The team have formed fantastic relationships with local organisations to provide holistic support to people on the streets of Warwick District, working with everyone from the police and local council, to drug and alcohol support agency Change Grow Live.
P3 Warwickshire has also recently benefitted from the expertise of a mental health nurse, seconded in to work directly with people who often have difficulty accessing services and getting to appointments.
In total, they have enabled 62 people to find a home away from the streets in the last year.
Head of Services for Warwickshire, Esther Barrett said:
“The team are so passionate and committed to finding solutions for the people who are most vulnerable in Warwick District, and it’s just so amazing that on Friday we walked away as winners! It was great to celebrate the support they deliver day in day out, regardless of the weather conditions.”
With their Floating Support service running for three years now, and the recent launch of new Places to Stay services for adults and young people, P3 Warwickshire are ‘joining the dots’ in the area’s provision for people who are homeless or at risk of losing their home, providing an effective pathway for enabling people to get off the streets and work towards independent living.
