P3 shortlisted twice in Homeless Link Awards

14 May 2019

P3’s ACTion Lincs project and Leicestershire Homeless Prevention Coaching service have both been shortlisted in the 2019 Homeless Link Excellence Awards!

ACTion Lincs partnership

ACTion Lincs is a Housing First initiative for people who have been rough sleeping recurrently or for a long time, and works closely with local authorities and specialist agencies across Lincolnshire, making it a strong contender in the category of ‘Promoting partnerships and collaborative working’.

Operations Manager Jonny Goldsmith said:

“ACTion Lincs was born out of a need to do things differently, in recognition that current services were not meeting the needs of people who had spend prolonged periods of time sleeping on the streets of Lincolnshire.

“As such – whilst ACTion Lincs is lead by P3 – the key to its success has been the time, expertise and resources offered by our partners across housing, health and the criminal justice sectors which has enabled us to overcome some of the complex issues that we have experienced along the way."

P3 Leicestershire Homelessness Prevention

The Leics Coaching service is up for the category of ‘Excellence in supporting people’ for its innovative and psychologically-informed approach to preventing homelessness.

Operations Manager Megan Wardle said:

"I’m so proud that this amazing new initiative has been recognised for the excellence that it delivers. Our staff do a tremendous job and deserve an opportunity to be recognised for their prevention work and the successful outcomes that they support people to achieve. I’m sure people who use our services will also be very proud!"

The winners will be announced at Homeless Link’s annual conference, ‘Under One Roof' in July, and will have the opportunity to have their services filmed professionally as part of the prize.
