South Derbyshire Homelessness Prevention Coaching

Supporting people to sustain their tenancy and prevent evictions

Services are currently by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

To make an appointment call us directly via the main Derbyshire office on 01773 742051.

What we do

We’re working with South Derbyshire District Council to prevent homelessness and enable people to sustain their tenancy.

Coaching is a different kind of service. We offer one-to-one appointments tailored to a person’s individual needs, aiming to build confidence, resilience and the skills to be able to resolve any future difficulties.

Coaching includes:

  • Mediation to resolve disputes between other tenants and landlords
  • Self-esteem and emotional wellbeing
  • Personal development, such as employment and training
  • Accessing community groups and social opportunities
  • Drug and alcohol misuse
  • Accessing other support agencies

We work alongside:

  • Tenants who are experiencing mental ill-health, are struggling to manage their home and/or have experienced housing issues or homelessness in the past.
  • Landlords and housing associations who need support in communicating with tenants, or have tenants with mental health difficulties who may be at risk of eviction.

Tenants may also be eligible for support from our iDecide accommodation & support service.
