SCHOOL FUNDRAISING

Fun ideas to get the whole school involved in fundraising

There’s a whole heap of fundraising ideas for schools that can help reach your fundraising goals and targets quickly.

Sweets in a jar

Filling a glass jar full of sweets and getting people to guess the amount there are is a quirky and intriguing idea, with the winner receiving either a percentage of the money raised through the guesses, a donated prize or even the sweets themselves.

Bake Sale

Bake sales are a tried and tested, and very popular way to fundraise. Volunteers bake and donate cakes, cookies, buns, muffins, pies and biscuits which are then sold to raise funds! Easy to organise, set up and run, they are a great fundraiser that are always a huge sucess!

Fun Run

Local running challenges are a great way to build up community spirit, whether it’s a half marathon or a family fun run. Ask friends, family, neighbours and colleagues to join you or to sponsor your efforts. They could even be fancy-dress!

Book Sale

A book sale is not only a great way to raise money, but it also has the advantage of encouraging reading amongst the children at the school. Asking teachers, parents and local community members or businesses to donate books for sale at the school will help increase donations too. Any books that aren’t sold could then be used in the school library or classrooms.

Non-uniform day

Everyone loves to dress up (or down). Pupils pay either a set fee or make a donation to leave blazers, ties and sweatshirts at home. Wearing your own clothes to school is a dream for many kids and non-uniform days are always much anticipated highlights of the school year.
