Homelessness

Working alongside people to exit the streets, access settled long-term accommodation and get their lives back on track.

Our street outreach teams are located in Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Wolverhampton.

Here, we go out in the early hours of the morning responding to new reports of people sleeping on the streets, as well as visiting known rough sleeping sites, in order to make contact with people who have nowhere to live.

We work to build trust and relationships with people, breaking down barriers so we can offer meaningful support. This means understanding a person’s unique circumstances and the reasons why they became homeless; in turn this ensures we offer the right advice and support to enable them to exit the streets as quickly and as safely as possible.

In order to achieve these aims we work in partnership with multiple organisations, police and community groups enabling people to access the support services they need and realise their potential. This includes helping people to access physical and mental health services and drug and alcohol services, and most importantly to move away from the streets into a suitable, safe long-term home. We’re also able, where appropriate, to help people to return to their hometowns – both within the UK and abroad.

These services offer:

  • Support to people currently sleeping rough or at risk of losing your home
  • Access to wider P3 services such as advice and accommodation-based support
