Fundraise for P3: Partners with Purpose

By fundraising for P3, your organisation can make a meaningful impact in the lives of marginalised communities, while also fostering a sense of purpose among your employees. There are many ways your company can fundraise to support our mission of social inclusion, and below are some ideas to get started.

Organise an event with colleagues and create an online campaign to raise funds. From a bake sale to a friendly competition over boardgames, the possibilities are endless. We can help you with ideas and provide the materials you need to make it a success!

There’s no better way to bring a team together than through a group challenge, and even better if it’s down in support of your community. Challenges such as sponsored walks, races and obstacle courses are just some of the ways you can build team spirit and promote employee well-being.

Encourage your employees to fundraise individually and offer to match-fund their efforts. For every pound they raise, your company can match the donation, doubling the impact.

Sponsor one of our projects and showcase your company’s commitment to its local community. We offer a range of sponsorship opportunities tailored to you and your business, including brand visibility, PR and media coverage. Not only will you be supporting us to run essential programmes in the local community, but you’ll help raise awareness of our work and your support for it.

Make it easy for your employees to give back by setting up a payroll giving programme in support of P3. A small donation from each pay check can add up to a big amount, making a tremendous difference to your local community. Many companies also choose to match employee contributions, doubling the impact!

Donating a percentage of your product sales to support P3 can be a one-time initiative or an ongoing partnership, creating a positive association between your brand and P3’s mission of supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our country. Our Partnerships Team can work with you to build a campaign around a specific cause or holiday and guide you through the process, including planning collaborative PR and engagement opportunities.

Team Volunteering: Make a Collective Impact

Volunteering as a team allows your employees to be part of real change while fostering teamwork. Team corporate-volunteering days offer a unique opportunity for you to make a difference while strengthening internal bonds and boosting staff morale. Your team will see firsthand how their time and effort can change the lives of those facing social exclusion.

Join us at one of our programmes, whether it’s helping out at a hub for the day or co-running a group session. Spend a day within one of our vibrant services, where you’ll assist our team on the front lines of support. You might facilitate casual drop-in sessions, offering a listening ear and a safe space for people to share their stories. Alternatively, you could co-host one of our regular workshops on a variety of topics, such as co-facilitating discussions around mental health and employability. Or, why not help run a skills session on areas like budgeting, healthy cooking on a budget or job interview preparation?

No matter what your skills or interests are, there’s a role for you to play in one of our hubs, helping build stronger communities!

Help transform one of our spaces as a team, from gardening and landscaping to refreshing one of our hubs or supported living spaces. Our places and spaces are an integral part of supporting the wellbeing of the people we work alongside, and working as a team to revive the spaces is a great way to bring your team together and have a tangible impact real people’s lives.

If you have expertise in areas like all things digital, job application skills or anything creative, why not share it? Come into one of our spaces and run a pop-up skills workshop or host an activity day. We can plan and support you every step of the way.

Why we Chose P3 Charity: Partner Testimonials

“During my volunteering day, I was involved in the eBay and P3 Charity Career’s Fair in West London. This event was aimed at providing support and guidance to young adults facing social exclusion and representation challenges. My participation alongside fellow eBayers at this event was to engage with the community, helping to bridge gaps and offer practical assistance and advice to those in need.

“Volunteering with P3 was an enriching and fulfilling experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team that is committed to supporting disadvantaged young people. The hands-on involvement allowed me to directly contribute to the well-being of individuals facing social exclusion, providing me with a profound sense of purpose and accomplishment. The experience not only honed my organisational and interpersonal skills but also deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by these communities. Working with P3 was a great experience that has left a lasting impact on me, both personally and professionally.”

Sidra, part of eBay’s recruitment team

“We are proud to support P3 Charity, which helps so many of the local communities and customers that we serve. The work they do to support local communities—health, wellbeing, employability skills and training and inclusion support, just to name a few—closely match National Grid’s priorities.

“It has been a pleasure working with the P3 team this year and we were delighted to sponsor a garden transformation project at one of their supported accommodations in Gloucestershire. Several of our employees have enjoyed helping with the transformation and supporting the valuable work this charity does, by offering their time and skills through our new employee volunteering programme.

“We are committed to supporting local charities and community groups and look forward to continuing our support of P3 Charity.”

Emily Green, from National Grid’s Engagement and Social Obligations, Corporate Affair Department

Barratt has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire communities through a partnership with P3 that sees Barratt gift our development teams with timber lengths, tiles, external and internal doors and kitchen units to support P3’s own continuous community-development initiatives.

This relationship enables P3 to continue to provide quality, affordable housing and supported housing, while supporting Barratt to achieve both environmental and social social value targets.

Mark Coates, Managing Director of Barratt, said: “We are immensely proud to support P3 and contribute to its mission of building inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”

Strutt & Parker has been a corporate partner of P3 for more than 10 years, donating more than £200,000 through corporate sponsorship and raising even more through team challenge events, such as the London Marathon. Strutt & Parker’s support for P3’s west London projects has enabled us to fund various programmes that receive no statutory funding, such as our Football Academy and Junior Club.

This years-long partnership includes PR, marketing and supporter-engagement events and has enabled Strutt & Parker to embed themselves in the Notting Hill community as a ‘preferred agency’.

Miles Meacock, Partner a Strutt & Parker’s Notting Hill branch, said: “At Strutt & Parker, we understand the importance of community and we take great pleasure in working with a genuinely local charity. We have been really inspired by the work RPT does, working tirelessly to help less privileged youngsters in W11 to learn new skills, develop confidence and get a better start in life.”
