Supporting care leavers and young people to increase their independence

What we do

This service is based in Macclesfield (Cheshire East) and provides accommodation and support to young people who are leaving care services or in need of help to work towards independent living.

The service has staff on site 24/7 to ensure the young people staying with us are safe and well looked after whilst we support them develop the skills and confidence they need to live independently in the future.

This includes support with:

  • Daily living skills such as cooking and budgeting
  • Applying for/maximising benefits
  • Employment, education & training opportunities
  • Accessing other services such as mental health or drug & alcohol support

We can help if you are:

  • Aged 16 to 24*
  • OR leaving social care and/or are a young person cared for by the local authority

 * Referrals for young people aged 16-17 will be given priority

How to get help

All referrals to this service must go through the Cheshire East Council Housing Options Team or the Leaving Care team.
