P3 Hillingdon Expands Support for Neurodivergent Families

P3 Charity’s vital service supporting families and young people in Hillingdon has been recommissioned, with an expanded focus on neurodivergent people. P3 has secured a renewed contract with Hillingdon Council, enabling it to broaden the reach and impact of its Family Advice Services, which have been a cornerstone of housing and family support in Hillingdon since 2006.

Under the new contract, the service will continue to deliver housing advice, financial support and education and employment guidance for families and young people, while now placing greater emphasis on the needs of neurodivergent individuals – a growing and often underserved group in the borough.

Zara Sweet, Regional Young People and Family Services Manager for P3 Charity, said, “I’m happy to share that we’re continuing to deliver P3 services in Hillingdon. Our new contract will allow us to strengthen local partnerships and reach even more young people and families who need our support.”

This was echoed by Cllr Susan O’Brien, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education, who added: “We’re delighted to continue our partnership with P3 Charity and provide these vital services for children, young people and families. Our enhanced services continue to focus on improving outcomes for our residents by providing preventative support to help them live independently.”

P3’s unique model offers both one-off advice and longer-term support, increasing access and bridging gaps in local provision. With five per cent of the more than 30,000 people P3 supports annually being under the age of 18 – a figure that continues to rise – the Charity sees early family-based intervention as key to reducing youth homelessness, family breakdown and long-term disadvantage. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Hillingdon Council and continuing to offer support for young people and their families.
